Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf took delivery of the Golden State Warriors 2015 NBA Championship Ring on Monday of this week. The ring was delivered to the Mayor's Office while Schaaf was preparing to leave for the Paris Climate Change Summit. Considering that the Warriors are working to leave Oakland for San Francisco, the ring is a nice gesture - or is it a consolation prize? Whatever their intent, the Warriors initially, reportedly, misspelled her name on the ring. But by the time the ring arrived at the Mayor's Office on Monday, November 30th, the error was corrected. Now, all that remains is for Mayor Schaaf to return to Oakland and see if the ring fits. And keep the Warriors in Oakland.
