Oakland Police Shooting At Lakeshore Update. This update explains that their was a shooting as a result of a standoff between Oakland Police Officers and the man in the car. A witness explains that Oakland Police tried to get the man to drop his gun outside the car. He did not and so after about 30 minutes of back and forth, OPD opened fire. He died at Highland Hospital. Oakland Councilmember Abel Guillen was on the scene.
